The Production Path: The production of a site often happens in stages. This helps spread out the cost and your involvement time. Typically, the first phase takes several months. After getting a handle on the Design and Structure, I will provide you with an estimate detailing all costs. Together we'll determine what materials I need from you and what I will be creating from scratch. Once the quote is approved, work begins on a design template. Often the design will go through several revisions until you're happy with the look and feel. Then production of the actual pages begins. We will test the entire site before making it available on the Internet.
Revisions & Maintenance: In several months you may be ready to add pages or to revise the site. We will discuss the best way to proceed. I will be available to make these changes in a timely fashion. Many simple alterations are accomplished the same day. Some of my clients update only a few times a year while others make changes or additions every week. If you're ready to get started or just have some questions, either e-mail me or give me a call at (630) 584-7723.
Email or Hosting Problems: We can work with your existing host or email provider or set you up with one that we recommend. In either case, we'll be available to help you troubleshoot problems and find resolutions that work for you.

Creating Your Site

Design & Structure: Usually our first meeting is to determine the design and structure of your site. Design includes feel, atmosphere and appearance. Structure is determined by the written content and how you divide your information into sections or pages. Structure also includes the functions you want to perform. For example, is the emphasis on ordering online or is it more of a marketing tool.
